Why is English Cafe great?
English is fun!
No homework, no tests, no pressure.
Take your time and practice speaking English at your own pace.
All while enjoying coffee, tea, and snacks in a warm, relaxed setting.
What do we talk about?
We have a variety of topics to discuss. All tables discuss a specific topic for the day. Each student can take their time to answer each question. We will help explain any question if the student needs help.
1. Who Can Join?
Each location offers English Cafe to a specific age range. All within each age range are welcome, but Eiken level 3 or better works best.
2. Support Available
We always have a Japanese staff member to help with translation if needed.
3. First Visit Free
Your first visit is free, so come give it a try and enjoy practicing English!

About Us
We are Christians and we sometimes share about our Christian beliefs. We like to share what the Bible teaches about the topic we are discussing that day. We do NOT ever pressure a cafe student to discuss these things or make a decision to become a Christian. It is ok to come to English Cafe and not believe in the God of the Bible. We want to help people with their English and also let people know who the God of the Bible is. We are not Mormon, Jehovah’s Witness, Unification Church, or a cult.
